If you’ve been in the industry for 10+ years you probably remember using a light table to compare different drawings. This great invention allowed us to see the sheet that was below as we spent countless hours flipping back and forth. Now that we have fully embraced BIM as the new norm tools like the light table sit in the corner and collect dust.
Watch as Christopher Riddell shows you how you can use the compare document functionality to compare two different drawings and instantaneously cloud what is different. He also goes through the steps of using the overlay pages tool, which is our modern-day light table. Drawings can quickly be assigned colors and are layered so you can identify changes in a floor plan, coordinate a ceiling plan, or even coordinate structural and plumbing drawings.
