With MEP Force right around the corner, we want to make sure you have all of the information you need for a successful trip to Austin. Here are some common questions regarding the event. If you have a question and don’t see an answer here, please email us directly at events@asti.com.

What should I expect from MEP Force?
During MEP Force, you’ll spend two days hearing from industry experts, seeing new technology and trends in prefabrication and fabrication, and learning how your team can gain a competitive edge. The conference will kick off Monday evening with registration and a welcome reception. The conference will be in full swing by Tuesday morning. Don’t miss our three keynote speakers and over 50 breakout sessions. We will finish with a closing session on Wednesday afternoon that ends at 3:30pm—just in time to get you on the road to home.

Where will MEP Force be held?
MEP Force will take place at the Omni Austin Hotel Downtown.

When will MEP Force be held?
Monday, August 27th at 4:30pm through Wednesday, August 29th at 3:30pm

How do I get from the airport to the Omni Austin Hotel Downtown?
You can take an Uber, Lyft or taxi, use the Omni Hotel Shuttle (call 512-258-3826 for pricing), or use public transportation. The Capital Metro Bus services stops one block from the hotel.

How do I book a hotel room through Applied Software conference room block?
The hotel room block has expired. There may still be rooms available at the Omni, and there are several other hotels very close to the venue.

Am I able to park at the Omni?
You can park at the Omni (pricing below). You won’t need a car during the conference. Everything except the Block Party will take place in the Omni. The Block Party is a half mile from the hotel, and there are plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance of the hotel.

Do I need to rent a car?
No. We are staying in the heart of downtown Austin. All MEP Force activities will be in the Omni Austin Hotel Downtown or within a half mile of the Omni. To get to the hotel from the airport, we suggest using Uber, Lyft, taxi, public transportation, or request the hotel shuttle (call 512-258-3826 for pricing). The Capital Metro Bus services stops one block from the hotel.

What type of breakout sessions can I expect?
Here’s a list of current breakout sessions with descriptions.

Can I pre-register for breakout sessions?
Yes. Please reserve your spot in breakout sessions! If you were not redirected to a session registration page or did not receive an email with a link to reserve your sessions, please email events@asti.com, and we will send your unique link to register for sessions.

I’m already registered for MEP Force, but I have not registered for breakout sessions. How do I register for sessions?
Simply email events@asti.com, and we will send your unique registration link to reserve breakout sessions.

Are there any hands-on training classes? Do I need to bring my laptop or have specific software installed?
While you are welcome to bring your own laptop to follow along, all breakout sessions are lecture based, so you will not need a laptop. We will have a Support Depot setup if you would like to ask our experts specific questions about your software or workflow.
