This live, online class covers the basics of Autodesk Revit Architecture, from schematic design through construction documents. Students will be introduced to the concepts of Building Information Modeling and the tools for parametric design and documentation. Full Syllabus

Students will learn the different uses for masses in early conceptual design. Next will be lessons for visualization and rendering including the application of materials and the placement and importance of lighting. Students will learn the importance and value of setting up a project template to consistently control standards and pre-populate projects with needed content. More family editing is covered in this class beyond what is taught in the Revit Productivity.

Once initial Revit Fundamentals training has been accomplished and competence with the use of Revit for your discipline at a basic level has been attained, Revit Productivity can be taken to advance your Revit skills to the next level. This class is geared for all disciplines and covers more advanced topics that are generally not covered in a fundamentals class. It will also explore in more depth topics that may have been covered in a fundamentals class at a higher, overview level of instruction. Revit Productivity is the next step towards becoming a Revit “Power User”.

Dynamo is a powerful BIM connected Computational Design tool. With access to the Revit Application Programming Interface (API), Dynamo allows you to perform repetitive and more advanced functions within Revit. Learning Dynamo is a great way for creating new opportunities to transform your business, offer new services, and enhance the overall quality of your projects. From exploring design alternatives to rulebased system rationalization to automating repetitive tasks, Dynamo will play an important role in your AEC workflows. This course introduces the student to the fundamentals of Dynamo with hands on exercises providing practical examples everyone can exploit in their work.

This live, instructor-led online class covers the basics of Autodesk Revit MEP with a strong focus on MEP Fabrication. Students will learn about proper project setup, be introduced to the differences between Fabrication Services and Revit MEP Systems, and understand the Revit work-sharing process using central files. Navigation and control of Revit Views will be explained. Students will also learn how to place and work with the LOD 400 content, called Fabrication Items, from the Autodesk Fabrication products (Fabrication CADmep, ESTmep, and CAMduct) within Revit MEP to create coordinated fabrication-intent models.

This class covers the essential knowledge a project manager should have to manager projects that are designed, delivered and constructed using Building Information Modeling tools, including Autodesk® Revit. A project manager must know the differences between CAD and BIM and how to harness the power of BIM and the opportunities it creates for better design, collaboration, coordination and delivery. Learn to set and manage expectations in proportion to the scope of services provided. Students will be introduced to the concepts of Building Information Modeling and the tools for parametric design and documentation.

This class covers the basics of Autodesk Point Layout. Attendees will learn how to setup and use APL in conjunction with Revit as it relates to creating control points, analyzing points for QA/QC, or importing and exporting points for As-Builts.

This live, instructor-led online class covers the basics of eVolve. Students will learn about proper project setup, be introduced to the differences between eVolve and Revit MEP Systems, and become familiar with vast library of content. Students will learn how to place and manipulate the eVolve content to create LOD 400 fabrication models. Students will also learn how to use eVolve’s View and Sheet Creator to create detailed spool sheets with the detailing tools that are in the eVolve program.

This class covers the basics of Autodesk Revit Structure, from schematic design through construction documentation. Students will be introduced to the concepts of Building Information Modeling and the tools for parametric design and documentation.

This live, online class builds on the concepts and skills introduced in the Autodesk Revit Structure Fundamentals and Intermediate Level Courses. The student will learn the importance and value of setting up a project template to consistently control standards and pre-populate projects with needed content. Also, title blocks and how to customize will be reviewed. The user will advance their knowledge of family editing to include 3D families, nesting families together, creating and applying parameters to control their family and the use of formulas to test, validate and control a family. With this knowledge the user will be able to create most custom content they need for a project. Additional topics include massing and visulaization for structural design.

This class covers the basics of Autodesk Revit specifically for Commercial Interior Design. It will address common workflow for setting up a project for test fits and laying out interior space. This course will cover the complete process of setting up, modeling, detailing and composing construction documents for a typical project. This course is five half-day sessions focusing on Commercial Interior Design and will not cover in depth all topics covered in the standard five half-day Revit Fundamentals for Architecture course. Students will be introduced to the concepts of Building Information Modeling and the tools for parametric design and documentation.

AutoCAD

The AutoCAD Fundamentals online class covers the basics of creating and editing 2D drawings using AutoCAD. Skills gained will lead to more advanced productivity in any drafting/design environment.

AutoCAD Advanced is aimed at the experienced users who have completed the AutoCAD Fundamentals and wish to gain maximum productivity and proficiency. This is done by learning advanced techniques, recognizing the best tool for the job to accomplish tasks more efficiently.

AutoCAD Map 3D software provides access to GIS and mapping data to support planning, design, and data management. In this introductory course, students learn the fundamental features and functions of AutoCAD Map 3D, including how to create, manage, and analyze mapping data. This course is intended for Government and private sector GIS Professionals who need to integrate CAD data with real-world spatial information.

Autodesk Fabrication

The Fabrication CADmep training course helps new users get up to speed on the core functions and features of Fabrication CADmep software. The class will teach new users to create a basic 3D model and prepare field drawings and procurement documents. Students will learn to create files and documents needed for prefabrication of ductwork and piping. Students will also learn basic CADmep customization and how to create their own custom Fabrication Items.

The objective of Autodesk Fabrication CAMduct Fundamentals is to enable students to import a basic 3D model, prepare label fles for sheet metal developments, and detailed procurement documents. Students will also learn the general navigation through the CAMduct program. This course covers the indispensable core topics for working with Autodesk Fabrication CAMduct. The teaching strategy is to start with a few basic tools that let the student create, edit, and report values in a basic model. You then continue to develop those tools, as well as being introduced to more advanced tools throughout the course. Not every command or option is covered, because the intent is to show the most essential tools and concepts.

Autodesk MEP Fabrication Suite is a portfolio of interoperable 3D construction software products that enable mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) contractors to connect to BIM based workflows at a lower cost of entry. Fabrication CADmep, Fabrication ESTmep, and Fabrication CAMduct software enable you to generate better estimates, create more accurate detailed model documentation, and directly drive fabrication.

Civil 3D

AutoCAD Civil 3D permits rapid development of alternatives through its model base-based design tools. You will learn techniques enabling you to organise project data, work with points, create and analyze surfaces, model road corridors, create parcel layouts, perform grading and volume calculations tasks, and layout pipe networks.

AutoCAD Civil 3D for Surveyors equips the surveyor with the basic knowledge needed to use the AutoCAD Civil 3D software efficiently in a typical daily workflow. Students learn how to import the converted field equipment survey data into a standardized environment in the AutoCAD Civil 3D software and to use the automation tools to create an Existing Condition Plan. Data collection, least square analysis, and traverses are also covered.

The AutoCAD Civil 3D software supports a wide range of civil engineering tasks and creates intelligent relationships between objects. This training is recommended for students that are required to create site grading plans using the AutoCAD Civil 3D software. This training is also ideal for managers that require a basic overview and understanding of this aspect of the AutoCAD Civil 3D software. Engineers and designers use feature lines and grading tools to create a commercial site containing a parking lot, building pad, pond, and simple sewage lagoon. An existing road has been included in the survey and a survey team collected the existing conditions. Users also work on a residential site to grade a small subdivision for proper grading of each lot.

Students use AutoCAD Civil 3D to complete the engineering tasks on an intersection and cul-de-sac design. The courseware guides students through one possible design process from the examination of existing site conditions to a final design solution. The primary focus is to teach students how AutoCAD Civil 3D can be used as a tool to perform common engineering tasks in the modeling and design process with greater accuracy and speed.

This foundation- level class covers the essentials of Autodesk Storm and Sanitary Analysis. This class is intended to give students comprehensive experience with the features and benefits of Storm and Sanitary program. Hands-on exercises will introduce the student to the some of the capabilities of the New Storm and Sanitary Analysis program.

Autodesk Fusion 360 3D CAD software offers an easyto-use set of tools for 3D mechanical design, Engineering & simulation, CAM, and team collaboration. In this introductory course, students acquire the knowledge needed to complete the process of designing models from conceptual sketching, through to solid modeling, assembly design, and drawing production. This course is intended as an introductory training guide. Autodesk Fusion 360 Fundamentals does not assume prior knowledge of any 3D modeling or CAD software. Students do need to be experienced with the Windows operating system and a background in drafting of 3D parts is recommended.

Infraworks

Autodesk InfraWorks provides 3D modeling tools for preliminary civil infrastructure design and analysis. Additional features, including Roadway and Bridge Design are available through Infraworks 360. Lessons address different types of data, terrain modeling and adding 3D models. Quickly and easily create civil infrastructure design models with Autodesk InfraWorks software. Accelerate the design process, and enhance your understanding of project constraints for better decisions. Generate data-rich proposals to better predict how design alternatives may perform in the existing environment and more effectively communicate to stakeholders. 

Inventor

Autodesk® Inventor 3D CAD software offers an easy-to-use set of tools for 3D mechanical design, documentation, and product simulation. In this introductory course, students acquire the knowledge needed to complete the process of designing models from conceptual sketching, through to solid modeling, assembly design, and drawing production. This course is intended as an introductory training guide. Autodesk Inventor Fundamentals does not assume prior knowledge of any 3D modeling or CAD software. Students do need to be experienced with the Windows operating system and a background in drafting of 3D parts is recommended.

The Autodesk Inventor Tube and Pipe Design class instructs students on the use of the Inventor Tube and Pipe environment. Through a hands-on, practice-intensive curriculum, students acquire the knowledge needed to design routed elements, including tubing, piping, and flexible hose. With specific tools to incorporate tube and pipe runs into digital prototypes, the Inventor Tube and Pipe environment provides rules-based routing tools that select the correct fittings and helps the pipe run to comply with your standards for segment length, round-off increments, and bend radius, that the student will learn to maximize.

Autodesk Inventor 3D CAD software offers an easyto-use set of tools for 3D mechanical design, documentation, and product simulation. In this course, we consider various approaches to part design and emphasize useful strategies. This course assumes a mastery of Autodesk Inventor basics as taught in Autodesk Inventor Fundamentals. Students should know how to create and edit parts, use work features, and create and annotate drawing views, etc.

The Navisworks online class covers the basic functions of Autodesk Navisworks. Students will be introduced to the concepts of Navisworks model exploration, 3D model navigation, clash detection, timeline simulation, and walkthroughs visualization.

The Navisworks online class covers the intermediate functions of Autodesk Navisworks. Building on the Essentials class, students will explore more advanced concepts of Navisworks such as Selection Inspector, Photorealistic Rendering, 2D & 3D Quantification, Object Animation.

This live, online class covers the basics of Autodesk AutoCAD Plant 3D, from P&ID to 3D design and documentation, as well as an introduction to Navisworks for model checking. Students will be introduced to the concepts of P&ID, structural and pipe modeling, isometrics and ortho documentation, and the administration of Plant Projects.
